Development
The S.T.O.R.M. Enrichment Program is a behavior support program for after-school/extended day students and staff. Our highly trained staff will coach students on developing self-confidence, leadership skills, as well as collaborating with peers in a team aspect through fitness and nutrition activities. In partnership, the school staff and S.T.O.R.M.Coach will join forces to encourage and reinforce positive behavior.
Students
1-5 days a week, a S.T.O.R.M. Coach will work with after-school students and staff and facilitate lessons on fitness, nutrition and social emotional learning. Students will be challenged to learn and practice important core values such as kindness and perseverance over the course of the school year.
Staff
A S.T.O.R.M. Coach will collaborate with afterschool staff and provide behavior assessment tools to track and promote positive behavior during the extended day program. Students will also have an opportunity to earn a monthly award in recognition of consistent positive behavior.

(Seek Wisdom Achieve Greatness)-Middle School Program
Our mission is to provide support during the day and extended day staff, as well as tools, direction and wisdom for young adults to encourage self discovery, preparation and individuality.
Tier II and III Support
A S.W.A.G. Coach will work with identified students in need of Tier II and III types services to motivate, encourage and reinforce a positive attitude on campus. Through coaching and intervention, coaches will track behavior progress to share with the student’s support team on campus.
Extended Day/After-school Support
Students will contribute to and participate in structured activities that encourage 21st century learning, positive character on campus and social emotional learning and competence. These activities are heavily focused on topics that revolve around the self including but not limited to: identity, self-image, expression/communication, conflict resolution, preparedness, etc. Students will lastly learn about career opportunities based on the need of having one or more of the various life skills including but not limited to:

Through sessions with daytime staff or working alongside afterschool staff, trainings for staff include an array of topics that focus on 3 key components:

School
Assemblies
Mr. E’s Mysteries is a fun and educational video series which leads students on an exploration of emotions, and provides educators with the tools they need to establish a positive class culture. Any student can be a role model, but sometimes negative emotions can lead us to make poor choices. Students will join the detective Mr. E, in trying to identify what emotions our zany characters are experiencing when they make certain choices. Students will also explore different strategies to cope with and express difficult feelings in a positive and healthy way. Each Mr. E box includes:

School Enrichment
S.T.O.R.M. Huddle is a behavior intervention support program that can be used as an intervention or incentive for a group of up to 30 students. Our Social/Emotional Learning curriculum helps students understand their emotions, cope with them and transform them into a positive. Through our engaging activities and hands on learning, students are challenged to apply the core values that they’ve learned outside of S.T.O.R.M. Huddle sessions as well. Our mission is to engage students, connect with educators, and support the school by coming together in group huddles and game planning success.

S.T.O.R.M. E.L.I.T.E. (Expanded Learning Initiatives Through Equity) is a system that supports the structure, sustainability and daily operation of expanded learning programs in after school care. The goal is to collaborate to provide quality programming for all stakeholders by implementing the quality standards. Through this 3 year phase out process, the program will receive ongoing support from an E.L.I.T.E. Team Regional Representative as well as tools and resources for students, staff and administration including but not limited to:
STORM Awards
R.E.C.E.S.S. (Reaching Every Child Encouraging Student Success)
Reaching Every Child Encouraging Student Success is a recess support service for unstructured time during the school day. The mission is to fully support and compliment the school site’s vision by engaging students and connecting with staff and administration on campus. Success is continuously encouraged through multiple interventions including training, structured activities and direct intervention support.
Tier I Support
A R.E.C.E.S.S. Coach will acknowledge all students and praise positive behavior, reinforce school expectations, and collaborate with recess staff to structure and implement recreational activities to provide a fun and safe play environment. Students will have an opportunity to engage in various activities that encourage skill building, teamwork, self-confidence, and self-control.
Tier II and III Support
Identified students in need of Tier II type services will be acknowledged and coached by a R.E.C.E.S.S. Coach to provide emotional safety support during unstructured time. Data on behavior progress will be tracked and shared back with the site. A recess evaluation will also be performed to assess and set goals for continuous improvement in the school climate.
